Immunohistochemistry
Immunohistochemical stains are widely used in the diagnosis of abnormal cells such as those found in cancerous tumors. UniPath utilizes the latest technologies in equipment and procedures to provide pathologists and clinicians with the most precise diagnosis available. Our immunochistochemistry laboratory section operates state-of-the-art, automated advanced stainers from Dako and Ventana providing flexibility, consistency, and accuracy. We also offer one of the most extensive library of stains in the Rocky Mountain Region, with over 140 immunohistochemical, immunofluorescent and other special stains and panels available.
In addition, we utilize image analysis based, quantitative microscopy to provide quantitative standardized interpretation of immunomarkers for selected antibodies/specimen types (e.g. for breast panels, ER, PR, Ki-67, Her2). Our quantitative microscopy platform is the ACIS III.
