UniPath remains a network provider for UnitedHealthcare

February 1, 2011 - Denver, Colorado

Recently, UnitedHealthcare (UHC) sent out a flyer to their membership about using a contracted, in-network laboratory for their services. The flyer includes a link to the UHC online provider directory. The directory however only lists nationally contracted laboratories. At the end of the directory, it does state the following:

"The providers available through this application do not necessarily reflect the full extent of UnitedHealthcare's network of contracted providers. There may be providers or certain specialties that are not included in this application that are part of our network. If you don't find the provider you are searching for, you may contact the provider directly to verify participation status with UnitedHealthcare's network, or contact Customer Care at the toll-free number shown on your UnitedHealthcare ID card."

We would like to assure you that you can still send us specimens for UHC patients, even though we are not listed in the provider directory. UniPath has been a contracted provider with UnitedHealthcare for several years and we currently have no plans to terminate our relationship with UHC.

For a complete listing of the insurance companies we are contracted with, please visit our website, http://www.unipathdx.com/, hover over “Client Center”, and click on “Insurances” or click here for the link.

Should you have any questions about the UHC notice, please contact your local UHC provider relations representative.

Thank you for being a valued UniPath client!
